Another "need to use pause button" one

The Amazing World of Gumball "The Joy"

Around 8:23 while trying to make it to the PA system Miss simian encounters and is attacked by a zombified Anais, who runs toward her an tries to infect her. As she is running if you look closely, you can see she is missing one of her white boots.

On top of being a real nice debooted image, I like this pic because it has something that has always amused me when it shows up. Only in Japan, where there is such a desire for neatness, whould someone re-tie thier boot laces into a bow that perfect AFTER they have taken them off. This isn't the first time I have seen it, either.

It looks like it might be related to the Disney Tinkerbell/ Fairy Hollow series, but don't hold me to that. I coudl just as easily be some Russian story completely unrelated to anything else. I may not have BEEN PUBLISHED in any other language. I think it is best to wait for Nigel to show up since he reads Russian. Maybe he can shed some light on the matter.

Found a site with a scan of the Angus McBride illustration of the melting Wicked witch (the one where whether it's there or not depends on which edition of the book you have)

http://primetv.us/church-secrets-and-legends-s01e02-hdtv-xvid-afg
In one of the sections of this Travel Channel Program, They cover the story of the only Catholic priest ever to be executed in American History. In the episode, during the trial there is a flashback to the murder he commited. Part of the flashback shows him cutting up the vicitms body. Her legs are briefly visible and she is missing one of her high white lace-up boots.

She's on my list! And since you asked for it, I'll gladly put her in the priority line. Thank you for the suggestion!
The technical challenge's been faced already so I have an inspiration to start from ;-)

Yes, but as has been relentlessly pointed out both here and in the other Homura takeoff pic (http://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/871444?tags=putting_on_shoes) there's a cheat there, the artist has drawn her with stockings, not hose. As was pointed out to me, Homuras footwear being tights type pantyhose (so the tops are connected) is canon.

As I said, I pass no judgments. Your are the artist, you draw as you want. Tecnically though, wouldn't one shoe/boot off one on be the dead middle (after all, outside of a sore foot, actual fetish inent thing, people taking off thier shoes usually don't stop halfway through.) I'd say your point of choice would be classfied at about 20-45% debooted, depending on picture.
Yes I remember those from a while back. Actually of what of yours I have seen on the site, I think those are 2/3 of the ONLY full boot removals you did I saw (the third is that cat captain from Treasure Planet).
Actually, for variety, now that you are working, I'm sort of wondering if you are eventually going to go for a 60-75% in some picture; that is, first boot completely off and working on the second one. No saying I have a particular desire, but it would sort of "complete the set"
I wish I could come up with a few specific characters I'd like to see, but as you know, my wish list is pretty short, and, to be honest, most of them are a little to young to really be compatible with your style (Violet is a good example, the way you draw her while certainly nice, is probably some years older than she is in the actual movie.) in older form, they wouldn't look right. Udzuki's boots are short and stiff, so there's no debooting process involved (they're on or they're off; there's no middle ground) Ditto the girl from Tai Chi Chasers I mentioned; a debooting sequence wouldn't be much fun when they'd short and metal.
If you really are insistent, I think it might be interesting to try and do Homura (magical girl outfit) from the Madoka Magica series for the technical challenge, if nothing else (after all you'd be trying to do a debooting of a character whose "boots" are techically pantyhose with soles and high heels, which means they 1. would crumple when there were no legs in them (hard to draw right) and 2. are attached to each other at the top (so even when she got one off, it would be trailing down.)
And since I haven't contibuted much, this showed up today (it's on ebay so it won't be up for long. And my photo archives are down at the moment. So if you like it, SAVE IT.)

Considering we never actually got the shoe loss in the series we were promised by whatever list that was everyone was quoting way back when this thread was in its infancy (and, with Gwen's current appearance rate/costume in the series; we probably never will)I'd say yes; I'll take what I can get.
Plus this is more your style after all, you tend to draw more deboot/shoe ings than eds. That's not meant to be a slight, criticism, or anything like that, just an obvservation that, in your own work, you tend to choose the moment in the process when when the first boot/shoe is almost off; but not completely.

I would imagine that it would sort of depend on when the plop was in the Popeye histroy. Early Olive Oyl wore those high button shoes, so a loss during a plop would probably be hard to pull off (though a I do recally a early cartoon from the boot period where she kept slipping her foot out of her boot in oder to use it as a third hand while she knitted something). Later on, when she started wearing pumps.....who knows.

one of the best plop takes with shoe loss I know is in the Tiny Toon Adventures episode Whale's Tale http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUM-MZEgZTY
The video cuts out a bit early, but in the next shot, Elmyras Mary Jane falls off of her toe.

Lost Girl

In last nights episode, there is a scene where an elemental removes one of her boots and socks to allow a buried Fey called Lazy John to suck her toes so that he will provide her with information.

Oh yeah, that one is a classic.

I seem to recall two more shoe losses/removals in Sabrina. In a later episode Sabrina sneaks away from Witch Bootcamp to go to a dance or something with Harvey, and uses magic to transform her combat fatigues into nomal clothes. When she starts to turn back, she runs away and leaves a shoe behind. Harvey says "Wait your dropped your.........army boot?" I wasn't paying full attention when that episode was airing, so I don't know if there was a scene of her in one shoe as part of that.
Much later (in the episodes with her in College) there was one where she used a spell to make her super speedy so she would be able to make all of the commitments she made. when she got back to her house, she took off one of her boots and said something to the effect that she would need a new pair (as we see the friction of the speed has worn a huge hole through the sole.)
And while not a loss, in the current Sabrina cartoon (the one on the hub) Aunt Hilda habitually wears mismatched shoes (a sneaker on one foot, a green flat/wedge on the other).

Hmm, already has the boot yank scene from Trigun:Badlands Rumble was meaning to mention that.

Speaking of things seen on Toonami, here's one from last night

Space Dandy Ep.4, "Sometimes You Can't Live with Dying, Baby". Near the middle of the episode, Dandy revisits the hospital he left Meow in after Meow has turned everyone in it into a zombie. Amongst the sights you see is a zombified doctor attacking a nurse, who has lost one of her heels.

Two more (neither all that good however) (both too new for links yet)

Teen Titans Go! "Legs"- After Raven becomes Lady Legasus one of her attacks is something called the "Booerang Boot" where she kicks off her (now gold and high heeled) boot it strikes Brother Blood then returns to her foot. There is also a scene later in the cartoon where she uses her foot to sign an autograph (unfortunately both shots are cut in a manner where you don't see her other leg in the shot)

Adenture Time "Apple Wedding"- Princess Bubblegum takes one of her shoes off and uses it to smash the window of the King of Oo's sky trailer so she can get in and rifle his stuff. Again other let not in shot (you see her shoe in her hand smashing the window, but the window is shoulder height so no lower body.

Too early to have a link (will try and add one next week) but tonight's episode of Fox's Animation Domination had a shoe loss in the second segment of Axe Cop. The Best Fairy In the World lost one of her shoes near the end while fighting Beautiful Girly Bob.
Also I though it might be worth giving a heads up that a few weeks ago while in a bookstore I saw a book that seems to be the first volume of a series covering all of the Sunday Peanuts comics. It's only volume one (and hence ends way to early), but eventually they will presumably that comic of Snoopy stealing Lucy's shoe, and this time, it should be in color.

Another interesting style worth mentioning is what is called a "roman sandal". This is a style that is sort of like a cross between a Mary Jane and a boot; a tall shoe or boot fastened with several to many cross straps. Not much worn nowadays, but VERY popular in Victorian times. Off the top of my head, the best example I can think of would be in the movie version of Lemony Snicket's a Series of Unfornate Events. The two femal Baudelaire chidren wear them; the babys are short with about three cross straps, while the older one's have a half dozen or so.

Anyhoo another deviant pic

Yes, I've heard that term before A lot of the fantasy authors I read are British and Tom Holt (who I am beginning to think has a serious shoe fetish of his own) is quite fond of the term Took me a while however to realize it and pump were synonyms (thanks to the first time I saw there term used I though court shoes might be a specific kind of pump, one with a pair of thin straps that crisscrossed over the instep, making an X (sort of like a cross between a pump and a Ghillie flat [those shoes worn by people doing Irish or Scottish dancing)
