Not sure if this was posted but, I just watched Bridget Jones' Baby on the plane (don't judge) and there were two shoe loss scenes for those fans of Renee Zellweger.
I think about 10-15 minutes in, Bridget Jones decides to hang out with her younger friend who doesn't tell her they're heading to a music festival (presumably Glastonbury).
Bridget Jones is wearing white high heels and steps in mud and falls on her face before prince charming comes to the rescue and places her muddy heel back on her foot.
The second loss comes shortly after as she has a one night stand (now wearing wellies) and stomps off in her walk of shame through the muddy ground. Her boot gets stuck in the mud and she walks off without it. |
First one is here, second one here.

Nice to see the shop is open again. Had some issues trying to get the free preview; the shop won't process the transaction because it is free apparently.
EDIT: Ooops, nevermind, I got it to work. Sorry for the scare.

Wow, that was quick. Thanks potk. I'll have to find that scene. |
Having actually read the manga, there is no scene like that in it, the artist just wanted to make a reference to Die Hard using the character.

Yea, I know how everyone here feels about them but decided to put it in because I thought it was cute, I actually like the character, and that I honestly never minded them, depending on the style and who's wearing them. Although I obviously have my prereferences like everyone else, I've grown to be more tolerable/have a more diverse tastes, and seeing the same style of shoe getting lost the same way over and over can be kinda boring and even offputing at times.

Been a while since I posted anything in this thread, so I wanted to make sure I had plenty of good finds.
The Smart Cavalier: After consistently defeating combatant after combatant, a female warrior loses to a fighter who ends the fight by taking her shoe off her foot, to her embarrassment.
Laverne and Shirley: The two girls lose a tug of war match over a pair of pants and fall into a massive tub of clothes, where a man ends up stealing one of the girls' shoes right off her foot.
Joanie loves Chachi: Joanie accidentally gets her foot stuck between two seats in a movie theatre, and when Chachi tries to get it free he accidentally flings her shoe off.
Lolita: The young Lolita is missing a sneaker as she goes upstairs to serve the professor breakfast.
Nightmares and Dreamscapes: In the episode "Crouch End" a woman tries to escape a monochromatic world and loses one of her shoes as a pair of demonic children grab at her ankles, her lone shoe being dragged back by a black ooze.
The Chateau Moreux: A woman is kicking her date beneath the table and her pulls her shoe off, and as she goes to confront the date's ex, she forgets that she's only wearing one shoe.
Jane's House: Two men are discussing a deal with a woman as she takes of her shoes to massage her feet, and her shoe is too far away for her foot to reach and James Woods helps her retrieve it.
Search for Grace: A man tries to drag a woman underwater with him but ends up pulling off her heel instead.
Goodbye Dragon Inn: A woman is dangling her shoe off a chair in a movie theatre and it falls of, and tries using her foot to fish it out but can't find it.
WKRP in Cincinnatti: A drunk Jennifer lets Johnny have her shoe as a souvenir (1:31), and when she sees Andy with it, shows off her foot and asks for it back (12:54).
Hopes this makes up for my absence.

So I've re-read both Shoe Theft in the Sanctuary and Nightmare in Nylons ~ Chapter 1, since those were the most popular of the stories I've written (going by download count). I still think that they're good attempts at writing, and the biggest issue seemed to be spelling/grammatical errors. The one thing I think I need to work on the most is the pacing, as while you guys say I'm good at building suspense, some things tend to fly by real fast and don't seem to sink in enough.
If there are any other critiques any one has, I'd like to hear them.

Hey potk, just wondering if you ever finished these stories. Would love to read them. |
To be honest I'd completely forgotten about them. I'll have to look on my hard drive to see if I have any of the previous rough drafts/outlines. If there's enough interest, I'll definitely give writing another shot.
