My antivirus blocks it saying it has potentially dangerous content for my computer on it. You sure its not infecting everyone with a virus?

Is there a longer clip of this one? https://v.qq.com/x/page/h077102ed69.html Seems to have the girl in a situation much longer than she is, although I have no idea what the characters are saying, the scene is probably one of the better shoe loss sequences I've seen on this page in some time.

Then you'd be interested in my novel, The Railroad Man: www.therailroadman.com Also on Facebook at The Railroad Man. Story follows a railroad cop who finds a young woman who was chased into his yard by a group of people up to nothing really good. She loses a shoe during her escape and goes the rest of the novel in only one shoe. You'll like it. Several on this site have already read it and like it too. Note of caution: I have been working on a new updated version of the novel, which has been going painfully slow. But I hope to have this "Writer's Cut" version up and running by the end of the summer if no earlier, I HOPE!

RE: Poor Frenda Loses Her Shoe 05-01-2018 21:00 Forum: Other Content

Here's a good real-life rendition of how I think Frenda should really look like. Far more adult-looking, and can't you just see the blade snapping out from the face of one of those heels? I found this pic while looking for something completely unrelated and thought "Wow! Now if only she had on that beret. So I did a search and found a pic of a beret that was angled just right and just the right color, then through the miracle of Microsoft Paint, I sized it and plopped it onto the woman's head and voila! This is what Frenda should look like in a live-action film version of the comic. Just some fun with paint. Any thoughts?

She is hot, and would have made a great Laura in the film version of my novel. (She's just the right age, and left-handed too!) But she's too big now for the part, and her politics have become too left-wing for me.

Poor Frenda Loses Her Shoe 03-09-2018 19:36 Forum: Other Content

Not very up on anime or cartoons, but this one intrigued me, although I find the character a bit too young-looking for my tastes. Here is a clip I found of her getting her shoe knocked off in a fight. Sorry. Have to type in the url manually. For some reason, I can't upload it or put the video up. Not very tech savvy, or something is wrong with this site.

I like that they walk tiptoed on their unshoed foot too. But I also don't mind the unshoed foot being in a stocking. Bare is okay, but stocking-clad is more elegant-looking. One thing though: I do not like the girls wearing pants when they are one-shoed. They really should be in a skirt or at least a nice dress. No pants, shorts, sweats, etc for me.

Only if I can transition this to a film. It would be both the greatest train oriented movie ever filmed, AND the greatest one-shoe movie ever as well! Perchance to dream as someone who wrote things better than I ever could once said.

No. Just some close should-haves. There was the scene where Michael Douglas chops off her heels, but it was the scene where her chopped-high-heeled foot breaks through the rotted wood of the suspension bridge they were crossing. It looked as if her shoe was going to fly off into space, thus making the scene in the movie poster come to life, but the shoe magically stays put. She never loses one. Just one of many examples of a "shoe-teaser" type movie where the female character is in a situation where her shoe should have been lost but never do. Don't know if this is the actress' request not to go one-shoed or not, but it is frustrating. That would NOT be the case if my story ever makes it all the way to film. There would be a stipulation in the screenplay rights that Laura will be in one shoe throughout the entire film except for the flashback of how she loses her shoe during her escape from the bad guys, no ifs, ands, or buts!

Remember, it's just a movie promo poster. No guarantee there will be a shoe loss in the film. Remember the poster for Romancing the Stone? There never was a shoe loss scene in the entire movie, although there were a couple of close calls. Now if my novel ever makes the jump to a film, it's guaranteed to have shoe loss as the loss of the main female character's shoe is the key clue in the whole story.

Interesting concept. Wish I could do this for my novel, but the film version would have a much bigger budget than this owing to its need to use real trains and the amount of CGI that would be needed to make the film.

It's a shame she was wearing pants. I prefer my one shoed damsels in distress in skirts or at least a dress.

Reworking My Novel 05-31-2017 22:47 Forum: Stories/Written Works

Hi guys. I guess you already know I've been reworking my novel, The Railroad Man, for some time now, trying to put out a final "Writer's Cut" edition. Wonder what you think of this very brief passage from my story. It's where Laura, my one-shoed, hat-loving heroine, has defiantly walked into the railroad's roundhouse despite Mike warning her not to. It's kind of a neat little scene:

She walked deeper into the roundhouse now, unhurried, looking around at the structure with her hands clasped behind her. Her bare left foot felt warm and comfortable, fully shielded from the harsh, filthy concrete floor by the bandage and thick cardboard flap Mike had given her. She stepped tiptoed with it as she walked, it’s near-silent footfall alternating with the sharp click the heel her lone shoe made, tapping out an irregularly-spaced cadence that echoed through the empty quietness—“ka-lick…ka-lick…ka-lick….” In a strange way, she was starting to like it, feeling at once alluring and vulnerable, yet strong and defiant.

Your thoughts?
