Few more pics and links

Two more of Sonics's Amy (for Sonic52)

and a little treat for Mandrake. I spent most of this afternoon catching up on season 2 of Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated (as cartoon network didn't really promote that they were showing season 2, and it is at an odd time, I only just found out by coincidence that they had re-started today. and missed the first 5 episodes. Luckily they showed it quite a while ago in Australia, and some posted the episodes on youtube, so I'm caught up now.) And now for Mandrake's treat; near the end of episode 3, there is a brief shot of Daphne without her shoes, but still wearing her tights/pantyhose. At least, I think she is (the flashback is in purple tones, and since Daphnes tights/stockings are purple anyway, it's a little hard to tell if she has them on (appx.6:14) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efW29FpZiEk

Here's a new figurine without a shoe similar to the Yoko one.

http://www.plastikitty.com/home/kaitendo...shoe-is-a-phone

Based on the maquette, I'd say that this model is going to be more like the Mirei-San one than the Yoko. That is, I think that, given that the other shoe (the one she isn't holding to her head) is half off, I think they will probably build the model with the shoe as a seperate piece, that is hangable off the foot. That's how they usually handle dangles (I have about twenty or so one shoe anime models, and out of all of them, I think only ONE has a dangling shoe that is actually a fixed part of the figurine). If it is actually cinderalla, it may be even more likey; they very well may go with "glass", i.e. transparent shoes (the sketch seems to indicate they probably are) and those would have to be made of different plastic than the rest of the model. But thanks for the heads up, I will keep my eyes peeled for when this comes out.

My apologies; for anyone who got broken links today. I was cleaning my Photobucket account, and did no know that if I deleted them there, it would also remove the pictures here. I've put them back
and here are a few more, as an apology

I actually was a little hesitant on this one, as it is a bit NSFW. But as most people here have probably been to Batmads site and or Dandooru (where mich more explicit material is common) it's probably alright

The Shoe ghost, by Dragon Shojo (Danny Phantom Universe)There's one more pic, but it got deleted from deviant, I saved an image, so I'll have to go back to my files later.

Interesting. As far as I have seen in the cartoon, Rouge rarely-if ever takes her boots off (I remeber seeing an episode of sonic X that seemed to indicate she even wears them when she is taking a bath).
Two things that might be of interest one there actually is a 1 shoe scene in one of the cartoon series (actually there are several, but most of the other ones involve either Sonic himself or Tails and so don't count on this list of female shoe losses) There is an episode of one of the series where Sonic, Sally and some others are on a boat that is leaking, and Sally uses one of her boots to start bailing out the boat. (Unfortunately the boat's sides are too high to see her feet).
I also found a refernce that indicates one of the comics may have one as well. Apparantly Sonic: The Beginning features a story called Run, Sally,Run. that end with the revelation that sally had some sort of modification to her boot that was important to the story. As I have never seen the comic, I have no way of knowning, but it certainly sounds possible that Sally took off her boot to show the modification, so there could be a one boot panel.

And finally yesterday I was trying to consoliate all of the CD's I had stored my dowlaoaded pictures on before they all got trashed and I pulled this one off. I was on Devinat art, but as it is super old, it is probably no longer acessible there (you can't surf more than 1000 pages back, so really old pictures often become inacessible if you don't know the exact name of the image.)

I've been doing this for a while; you should also do the same thing for Sankaku Complex and Gelbooru. Here are a few favourites of mine:

So have I. In fact, (not to toot my own horn) most of the single_shoe tags that have been placed on the images in the file were done by me (when I first signed on the number of 1 shoe pics tagged as such was about 300 or so, after I went through the images posted (yes, ALL of them, took me a week of surfing) the file was over 1000.) I visit the other two as well, but only from time to time, as the large amount of overlap between the three sites (image wise) means that doing a daily searches would be kind of pointless.
You should also add Konachan to the list (though admittedly they don't have a tag, at least, not yet).

Two More 07-22-2012 17:24 Forum: Other Content

The First, Courtesy of last night

Deadman Wonderland Episode 9, "Worm Eater" In this episode, one of the prisoners fighs a little girl who has be trained as an Undertaker. When he finally defeats her and you see her collapsed on the ground, one of her black boots has fallen off (sorry no link yet, it's too recent)

Second
Binboubami ga!
This comic/anime features a character named Momiji, who, at appears wears only one shoe as a matter of course (this along with her ragged patched clothes is presunably explained by the fact she is a Poverty God)

The best picture I have seen of this showed up on Danbooru http://danbooru.donmai.us/post/show/1214838/1girl-binbougami_ga-blonde_hair
-dress-hair_over_on

But this seems to be fully canon as seen below (the area around 1:55 probably shows it best, as it is closeups of thier feet)

Alas, I don't think she does. That lump behind her foot might be her big toe, but given the angle of the rest of her foot, it's probably part of her other foot, so they are both bare.

On my book list I have vauge memories of seeing another one (and sorry this is all the info I remeber) The book was called something like "what happened here?". On the first page you see a mess in a school playground, which includes a single black Mary Jane. The rest of the book is about the events that occurred in the playground that caused the mess. The Mary Jane fell off one of the girls as she fell off the slide and hit one of the teachers. The odd thing is that, on the very last page, you see all of the kids involved in the events in the waiting room of the principals office and dispite the fact it is very clear the first page and the last are happening at the same time, the girl has both shoes back. That's all I really remember and it hasnt been enough to locate the book again (and as I saw it in a library, I don't even know when it was published.

If this person is comitted to illustrating the whole book, there is a chance of there being a shoe loss picture being posted by her in a few weeks, when she gets to the Wicked Witch (which is chapter 12). I can confirm this as I have no idea which version of the story or scenes the artist is planning (back when I was in correspondance with her, she intimated that they were going with a variation of the Cinar cartoon version of the scen (which would have a shoe removal, but she has changed her style depiction of Oz on an almost weekly basis since then, so what she is planning now I have no idea (as of the last WWW sketch sheet, it looked like she was basing on Hauge, which does NOT have a shoe loss illustration, but she may change back again). She seems to be getting through a chapter ever other day or so, so we probably do not have long to wait.

I've been corresponding with this person for a while

Well there is godd news and bad news on this front. Thegood news is that the artist finally got to doing a picture of the WWW melting. The bad news, while it is fine for those who wish shoe loss it is not good for single shoe lovers. You can see Dorothy's shoeless foot, and the shoe she lost, but her other foot (the shod one) is hidden behind the Wicked Witches head. This isn't to say the artist wont do another version later (though given that she seems to go back to square 1 with regards to this project every time she sees another interpreation of Oz or another Studio Ghibli film, it may take a while

It really doesn't coout if one is looking for pictures (on the grounds that none of his works are illustrated) but I have a slight feeling that the fantasy author Tom Holt may have a shoe loss fondness. An unusally high number of his female characters lose, remove, drop, throw or break the heel off of one or both of thier shoes.

I wonder if any other Disney characters have taken off a shoe? It mainly seems to just be Alice. If anyone was to be missing a shoe I'd expect it to be Cinderella.

The thread I got the link had someone mentioned a Mulan player takig off one of her slippers so a fan could try it on. But as I said earlier, Disney park rules probably prohibit (or at least, discourage), such actions.

Well, it looks like I was right about the discouragement. I happend to bump into the following link on Deviant. This is from the gallery of a person who was taking pictures at Disney Land, and happened to take a picture of a Jane and Tazan player's feet
http://browse.deviantart.com/?order=5&q=tarzan#/d51ovp1

First and foremost it appears that I was wrong, Disney fakes the boots as well, if you look it is pretty clear that Jane's "boots" are in fact a pair of character shoes (which basically look like heeled Mary Janes) with a cloth gaiter either on top or underneath them (probably over, though the edges must have been sewn in to bulge that way) If you look carfefully, you can even see a tiny bit of the end of the right shoe's strap peeking out (unless those are real full gaiters, in which case, that may be part of the elastic that runs underneath) More importantly, note that the other actor the one playing Tarzan is wearing sandals. This seems to indicate that Disnely has all of it's character actors wear shoes, even if the character they play is normally barefoot. A little later in the gallery, there is a picture of the feet of an actor who is playing Rapunzel (another barefoot character) and she also has shoes (pink flat slipons) I imagine anyone playing Alladin (well Alladin in his poor clothes, his Prince costume has those curly toed gold boots) also wears sandals.

Another anime one
Bobo-bo-bo-bobobo (probably put the hypens in wrong)

In the episode featuring Denbo, during her song she makes metion of getting so depressed she has to pick her toes. When they show the animation of this Denbo is indeed sitting with one boot off, picking her toes (0:4Cool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ap6wz0l_c7c

And yet another one. The First DC short this morning was a New Teen Titians short featuring Starfire and Blackfire. During the clip, Blackfire was shown putiting on her Starfire disguise, and that included a picture of her pulling on her boots (no feet, but since the boots are so long, it's obvios the one she is putting on is her first.)

Give it a little time,it only got promo'ed her last night someone or other will post the episode in English (and, hopefully with better resoultion) eventually.

I suppose socks are possible, though stockings seem more likey. At least in this universe, socks seem to have much less deliniated darker patches on the toe and heel. Though bear in mind, up to this point, the only person whose feet we have seen in socks without shoes is Candace (well, the only girl, I don't remember if we saw any of the guys (I think maybe Doofenshmirtz, but im not sure) twice ("Interview with the Platypus" and "We Call it Maze", all the other times, she's lost her socks at the same time.) so the above statement may technically only apply to her.
Okay so that's Vanessa down, that only leaves Isabella and Stacy. A part of me REALLY wants to see Isabella lose or remove her shoes, simply so I can figure out whether they are sneakers or not. The white zone on the top can be interpreted equally well as laces or a strap gap with her socks showing through like on candace (until Interview with a platypus, I honestly thought the orange space in her shoes was either laces or a tounge (I should have worked it out back in Badbeard, but I wasn't paying all that much attention). I suppose that is a question that was answered for anyone who saw the stage show (from what I saw of the promos, they put a lot of effort into making sure the costumes were are accurate to the show as would be possible with live actors). I can't see Stacy losing her shoes (not given how much she loves shoes in general). but I CAN see her taking them off to try another pair on (all we need is an episode that takes place in a mall (which we have had) while they are shopping.

Another Phineas and Ferb one tonight featuring (finally) Vanessa Doofenshmirtz. In the scecond half of tonights new epidsode (Minor Monogram) Dr. Doofenshmirtz traps Perry in a trap that locks perry in a right black high heeled boot (basically identical to the ones Vanessa wears). His new assistant takes him out of it (to put him in a trap of his own design). Vanessa, who is impressed by the craftsmanship of the boot and after one of the cutaways, you see her adjusting her cuff in a manner that shows she has clearly put the boot on (she gets a little nonplussed however, when she find out that Doof apparently did not see any point in making a left boot trap. Doofs assistant then revelas he was setting Doof up the whole time and plans to take out both Doof and Perry and take over the world. Vanessa tries to run to help her father, only to discover that the trap boot is attached to the ground. during the following scene while Doof and the assistant are struggling Vanessa finally manages to get her foot out of the boot trap. She remains in one boot until the end of the episdoe (which is slightly odd, as the boot she took off to put the trap on is in the shot and literally in arms reach the whole time). There are only three shots of her one booted when she gets it off (which is sort of small, as she is in the background) when she is untying perry (when she is on her knees in a position where you can only see her bootless foot.) and when she is looking an crushing on Monty Monogram (Major Monogram's son, who is the one who flies in and rescues eveyone at the end of the episode). Mandrake, you should be especially pleased, Vanessa apparantly wears brown pantyhose or stockings under her boots.
