I agree with you, Mandrake. Too much of a good thing is bad. Soon, it will not have the same sensation as it once did when that good thing was rare. It'll be cool though if the one shoe trend was made into a special day once a year like those people did one the planet in my story. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on my book. I really appreciated them.

Chapter 4
In our dress uniforms, we locked up the saucer and drove our chariot to the city. Our women were wearing only their left heel. Our chariot was not a vehicle that these people had never seen, which was why they were giving us funny looks. It looked like a glass van and an armored tank rolled into one. Thank God it had hard rubber treads wrapped around its wheels so that they didn’t tear up the pavement on the city streets.
The people couldn’t keep their eyes off the chariot as it drove down the main street of their city. They were bumping into each other, tripping over their own feet as well as other’s feet, they also bumped into lamp posts and falling down subway stair cases. Some actually walked up to it and touched it with their fingers and hands whenever we stopped. I was in the highest heaven with all these women come up wearing only their left shoe and toting the right one.
At one stop, woman reporter came up to my window and started asking me questions.
“Where are you from?†She asked.
I answered, “From the planet earth.â€
Her jaw dropped. “You’re from another world?â€
“Yes we are!â€
“And those two mechanical people that came here before you, are they from your planet?â€
“Yes, they’re our androids.â€
“Forgive us but we’ve never seen an Earth vehicle before, especially one like yours.â€
“It’s okay. Where is your City Hall? We’d like to see your mayor.â€
“It’s at the end of Main Street. It’s right ahead of you.â€
“Thanks!â€
Before we knew it, there were television camera crews and reporters all over us when we arrived at City Hall. Microphones were shoved into our faces and questions were thrown at us like rice at a wedding. Questions like:
“What is Earth like?â€
“Is it like ours?â€
“Do they follow the one shod code like us?â€
“How advanced is your technology?â€
“Do you have anymore androids back on your planet?â€
“Have you seen my wife?â€
That last question made us laugh. The reporter was more interested in finding his better half than meeting an alien from another world.
We finally reached the mayor’s office and we found her with her feet up on her desk with her right stocking foot resting on top of her left foot sporting a black high heeled pump. Immediately, she rose and shook our hands introducing herself as Mayor Shodderbottom. She was really excited to meet people from another world.
We asked her how this one shoe trend started on their world. She explained that a woman, who lived more than a century ago, was believe to be the first woman to go around wearing one shoe. The mystery of how she came about wearing one shoe still remains but it caught on anyways and women have been wearing one shoe since. They called the woman One-Shoe Molly.
Shodderbottom went on to explain how they came to discover the advantages of wearing one shoe. For one thing, they weren’t as clumsy as they were when they wore both shoes, especially heels. Wearing only one shoe made them have better balance. Also the women found it more natural to wearing one shoe than both, plus they got more attention from their men folk and noticed that the men treated them with better respect and honor than they ever did before. Having fun wearing only one shoe was the last blessing of the whole trend.
Shodderbottom told us at one point in time, they had made the one-shoe trend a holiday. Afterwards, it really fazed out when they started wearing one shoe everyday. No one actually knows when the holiday ended but the trend continued ever since. One might say that the holiday didn’t really end, it just spread itself throughout the whole year.
Shodderbottom invited us to a celebration feast being that we were the first aliens to their world. Everyone in their city gave us a warm welcome and when the celebration was over, they followed us to our repaired saucer and watched us take off for home to Earth. On the way home, our women never wore both shoes to us men’s delight. We all hoped that when we land back on Earth, that we would start the trend there. It may take awhile, but I for one think we can pull it off. One shoe that is. LOL

Chapter 3
The sun was going down behind the mountains and we had to return to our saucer because our currency wouldn’t be any good on their world. Once we got in, the women immediately took the other shoe off and we all retired to our rooms bidding good night to each other.
As my wife and I changed into our night clothes, I saw the somber look on her face. I sat her down on the bed and looked into her saddened eyes.
“Lisa, Honey, I want to apologize for the lack of attention I’ve been giving you lately.â€
“It’s not that.†She exclaimed, “It’s this peculiar fascination you have for these strange women and for our female android. Ever since she came back wearing one heel and carrying the other, you seem to have slipped into a world of your own and looking at them the way you looked at me when we first met and started dating each other.â€
I took her hand into mine.
“Lisa look, I love you more than anything in this universe. You’re the love of my life and I can’t imagine being with anyone else. All these women and May brought out of me was a fascination I’ve had since I was a child. I never really gave much thought to it until I saw May wearing one heel.â€
“So, that explains why you love massaging my feet all the time when I returned home. You liked seeing me in one shoe, especially my left one since you always started with my right foot. Here, I thought it was out of love for that you were massaging my feet.†She pushed my hand away.
I didn’t dare take her hand back at this time because she was so upset at the thought of my deception with her feet. I knew she was wrong about that and I had to help her see the truth.
“Lisa, look at me!†I said firmly. “Look me straight in the eyes and listen.†She obeyed. “Sure, I love seeing you in one shoe, but, I also love seeing you in a negligee, I also love seeing you wear casual or formal; I love it when you massage my shoulders or give me tender kisses on my lips or cheeks. I love it when you play with me with our stuffed animals or support me in my dreams of flying the old war birds even though you think all that stuff is crazy.â€
I made another attempt to hold her hand. She didn’t pull away.
“Honey, it’s the little things that you do to show me you love me and that I matter to you; that’s what amazes me the most and they mean more to me than anything in this world or anywhere else. It’s you I love and no one else, including those women on this world.â€
Before I knew it, Lisa was on top of me kissing me with her sweet luscious lips. I love it!
The next morning, we woke up pretty late. Lisa and I went to sleep late last night; I’ll give you a wink as to why we stayed up late. Anyway, we got dressed and Lisa gave me the biggest surprise of my life. She was wearing her dress uniform with only her left heel on. The other one she carried like a hand bag.

Chapter 2
What we saw, we could not believe at first. I couldn’t help myself but stare in awesome wonder, yet in bewilderment, at May. She was in perfect condition like Mike was except that she wore only one shoe when she stepped out of the pod along with the male. Her left shoe was on but her right shoe was off and she was using it as a handbag.
We brought the androids to the bridge where our robotics expert, Ensign Don Robinson will question them of their experiences on the planet. All the time, May walked a few feet in front of me and I couldn’t help but stare at her feet. Seeing her beautiful stocking right foot walking in unison with her left foot in its shoe was mesmerizing.
She walked as if she had been wearing one shoe all of her time since she was created by Ensign Don Robinson two years earlier. My wife, Lisa, was noticing my stare and was giving me a puzzled look of disapproval. I turned my eyes down even further to the floor in shame. What answer could I give her if she asks me about my enchanted moment?
Lisa didn’t say anything but watched the sliding doors to the bridge open. We sat the androids in swivel chairs and May crossed her beautiful legs, the right one over the left bobbing her stocking foot up and down in revilement. Lisa again looked at me as I was watching the one shoe scene May was portraying in front of me with thirst of look in my eyes. Again, her cold stare made me look down in shameful embarrassment.
Ensign Don Robinson took another swivel chair and leaned forward toward the androids.
“So, May, why are you wearing one shoe and toting the other like a hand bag?†He asked.
May smiled, not a usual trait for an android, and said, “This is how women go about their day on the planet below.â€
“You’re telling us that all women on that planet are wearing one shoe as a normal way of being dressed for the day?†I asked.
“Yes.†She said, “One day they wear only the left shoe and the next day, they wear only the right. They alternate days one what shoe to wear. Today, they were wearing only the left shoe.â€
“WOW!†was all I could say.
I will not go into detail on how we came to crash land on the planet. It’s all written in the report, you can read it if you want. What I will say though is that we managed to crash the saucer in an upright position with very little damage. It took several months to repair the saucer back to full operation. Alright, the job only took a couple of weeks, okay? What can I say? I was in my wonderful world of my fantasy and loving every minute of it.
Seeing all those women wearing one shoe every day we were there was like living in heaven to me, especially seeing those women who wore high heeled pumps. I just couldn’t keep my eyes off of them. My wife, Lisa, fumed at all the attention I giving these women wearing one shoe. I couldn’t blame her though, seeing a man she’s in love with giving practically all his attention to strange women on a peculiar planet.
Being that these people were human like us and that their technology was up to par, we blended in their world real nicely. They didn’t seem to notice that a flying saucer crashed on their planet and it’s Captain and crew were walking among them. What I had to laugh to myself though was that our women were getting puzzled looks from passers by because they were wearing both shoes instead of one. Since their women were wearing only the right shoe, I suggested to our women to take off their left shoes for the time being until we can figure out what to do and get our saucer fixed.

The Peculiar Planet

Chapter 1
This story I’m about to relate to you seems asymmetric but you must read the whole tale in order to understand why I have this weird, yet harmless, fascination for Cinderella women. These women who seem to love wearing one shoe. I guess you could say I’ve always had this peculiar trait since I can remember.
Cinderella was my favorite fairy tale character. I’ve always looked for her in books and watched movies about her. She represented the woman in true form by recognizing her weaknesses but never letting them stop her from reaching her goals.
As appealing as it is to see a woman wearing one shoe, especially a high heeled pump, I would never force them to do so. If the woman wears one shoe, it will be by her choice and her choice alone; it’s because she loves me and wants to please me.
Anyway, getting back to my story, I really thank God for His tender mercies in allowing me to observe my passion to the hilt on a strange and wonderful planet. Fortunately we had the misfortune of crash landing on this beautiful world. It was fortunate because I had the chance to have my fantasies realized. It was misfortunate because we had to crash land on the this wonderful world and it took months to get back into space once more.
My story, actually our story for I was with other seven members of our flying saucer, began when we spotted this world circling a giant star at our galaxies edge. It looked like our earth upside down the way its continents and it’s oceans were placed.
We decided to orbit this world just outside its gravitational pull.
“Let’s send Mike and May down to the surface and check out the inhabitants of this world.†I said to my lovely wife, Lieutenant Lisa Park, who is one of my crew.
Lisa ran her fingers through her long, blonde hair in trying to contemplate on whether it was a good idea. You see, Mike and may are two androids that came along with us as helpful servants to explore the new worlds with us. Mike, of course, is the male and May is the female. Lisa was concerned about us sending them because they haven’t been activated since we left earth so many months ago.
“Are you sure about sending them, Bill? After all, they could’ve developed some defects standing in there tubes for so long.â€
“Only one way to find out, honey, is to activate them and program them to return in a week.â€
Our dress uniforms were pretty simple. The men wore white shirts with turned down collar and a suit jacket with an up turned collar. Our rank chevrons were on the collars of our shirts and on the shoulders and lower sleeves of our jackets. The men also wore straight pants, black socks, and dress shoes with Velcro on the tongue and that held the upper sides together on top.
The women wore the same dress jacket as the men but the had white shirts with ruffles in the front, skirts that went just above the knee, nude pantyhose, and four inch black high heeled pumps.
This was the dress code our androids wore when we sent them on their way to the planet below. The androids were to check out the planet while heading for the delegations who are in charge of the countries that might exist on this alien world.
“Where do you want to land them, Captain? Asked Lieutenant Edward Langerick, who was in engineering.
“As close to a city as possible. I do not want them walking too far incase Lisa is right about them.â€
“Aye, aye, sir.†Lt. Langerick acknowledged as he closed the hatch to the pod. We counted ten seconds before Lt. Langerick pushed the button to send the pod on its way.
The pod that the androids descended to the planet with was like a smaller version of the saucer itself. It held no more than four people at a time and was kind of snug.
I turned to the crew and said, “Now we just sit back and wait.â€
The week went by fast and Lieutenant Kate Parker, our communications officer, came onto the ship’s bridge and told me that the pod returned to our saucer. Everybody ran to the pod chamber and Lt. Langerick opened the hatch. The look on our faces was something left to be desired when we got a first look at our androids.

I like both. Damsels are okay and I love it when they lose a shoe in a struggle but i hate it when they also lose more than their one shoe such as their life. Now femmes, on the other hand, are less likely to lose their lives in a struggle. As a matter of fact, I love it when they use their heels as weapons to defend themselves agains cowardly thugs trying to force their will on them.

I think this story should start a trend. The woman no longer cares that she is wearing one shoe and she some how works it in to her speach.
