Erin loses one of her high heels at 14:35. (try Movshare link)

I notice she gets it back later on in the chapter. I might have kept it away from her a bit longer.

The photo and the story are really nice. Anyway, I have a mixture of old and new stuff.

The ending to Mobile Suit Gundam Wing has a relatively good single shoe scene. The female lead, Relena, has her right shoe and sock taken off and is stroking a dog's belly with her bare foot; viewable at 22:57 here Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Episode 7

A repost of the Azumanga Daioh scene where Osaka kicks off her shoe and loses it on a passing truck. Osaka Shoe Weather Prediction It's even become a bit of a minor meme, with the scene being edited to show the shoe blowing up an aircraft carrier or into the time that someone threw a shoe at President Bush on his final visit to Iraq.

Next, a repost of the Nichijou clip where Yuko loses her shoe on a car (similarly to how Osaka did), chases after it, trips, then loses the OTHER shoe. Augury, A Shoe, and A Dog Named Buddy It turns out that was the footage that made me watch the show.

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but there's another loss in the anime from robotic girl Nano in an earlier episode-in fact, the very first episode. She chases after a cat who took their fish, loses one of her sandals, and crashes into someone so hard she causes a nuclear explosion (similar to the one that opened Akira) Nichijou Nuclear crash Later on, Nano is stuck on the roof of someone else's house, wondering how she's going to get down, still missing it; as well as her hand. Nichijou Robot In the manga, she was heading to school, and lost her school shoes under similar conditions.

Finally, a repost of the clip from the Street Fighter Alpha movie where Sakura loses her sneaker in a fashion similarly to how she does when she wins in the games, and leaves it behind to look for Ryu. Street Fighter Alpha: Looking For Ryu

Apparently, that win pose is no longer in the games; and her character can be customized to fight barefoot. Even so, I still play the older games as Sakura for that alone, and apparently the SOTA action figure even comes with a little shoe as one of the accessories.

There. I think I fixed it. Sorry I've been gone so long. I've been looking for work and getting ready to go back to school.

I also think that there's a scene in the first episode Iron Man anime that implies a news reporter lost her shoe getting through a crowd.

Yes, there is. The reporter, named Naname, tries to ask Tony Stark about his new arc station in Tokyo, trips, but before it comes off all the way, it cuts to her landing in Tony's arms. Tony tries to flirt with her, and she slaps him in response. And it's implied that Tony liked it.

Yes, Viz Media did a licensed picture book (which is what I meant to say), and it did feature the scene where young Chihiro lost her shoe in the Kohaku river, and the spirit saved her from drowning.

Here it is: Spirited Away Picture Book

The Chihiro one is my favorite. I'm going to watch Spirited Away again soon. We have talked about before, how she lost her shoe when she was a little girl, and the river spirit saved her from drowning when she fell in when she tried to get it back. It's a prominent scene, and it got a lot of attention in Viz Media's photostory adaptation.

I noticed that. I also had to be pretty observant to catch it as well. I wonder how the show is going to do in the long term as a replacement for Young Justice, but it seems to be popular in the short term. Beware the Batman is also slated to replace Green Lantern in July. I suppose the primary reason that there aren't many CGI losses is because of the time and money needed to render everything, so character models have to remain consistent.

I seem to have found it. I didn't really watch the episode all the way through, I was just skimming the series till I found that part for you guys. The show's not really my thing.

From what I could gather, the girl (named Amy) was injured in a race beforehand and was going through physical therapy. The loss happens around the 11 minute mark; and it's OK.

Mike Lu and Og For the Love of Mike I found the complete Mike Lu and Og, including the episode we were having trouble finding, For the Love of Mike.

Mike is bothered by two native boys affection, and she throws her shoe at one of them. One of the boys puts it on his necklace, and she wears one shoe for the whole episode.

Deadman Wonderland Episode 9 I seem to have found the Deadman Wonderland loss that was mentioned a while back. 18:02 The copy is a little glitchy, but you'll most likely be able to see the loss.

Also, I'm not particularly interested in IGPX, but I am glad that One Piece is coming back on Toonami, which brings me to my next find. One Piece Episode 36 During the Arlong arc. I'm having trouble with the exact time, but as Nami's adoptive mother Bellemere is shot by Arlong, one of her sandals falls off. I know it's kind of morbid, but I think it works.

I have noticed that shoe styles in One Piece can vary from many different styles and time periods, but sandals seem to be quite common. Nami herself took to wearing high heel sandals around this time, and even has a dangle in one of the frames of the second ending.

Hey guys. I haven't posted in a while since I was in the middle of moving, and haven't even been coming here as much as I'd like to. With that said, I'm glad to be back.

First off, I am dismayed over the Red's Planet development, but I guess I should have seen it coming (I did see the author's Deviant Art page, but I assumed it was just an earlier draft. Looks like he ended up using it.). I'm a monosandalist, as you call it, but I guess the people that like the loss of both shoes are solid.

Enough about that. Now I have a link, as discovered in an earlier strip's comments. It's another backup of a dead link, of one of the Totally Spies losses. The episode is called Creepy Crawly Much. Totally Spies, Creepy Crawly Much? 17:06

I also have a couple photos. Both are a couple anime promotional images. From Strike Witches, there is Nipa and Sasha (I haven't gotten very far, so I don't know which is which) on a broom, and one of them loses their shoe.

The other is from Kamisama Dolls, with a girl with blue hair in a kimono losing one of her sandals.

Vision of Escaflowne Episode 21 8:00

Project A-Ko 22:45

Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi Episode 9 6:33

The Life and Times of Juniper Lee episode 3 20:29

As I said, here are some backups of the dead links from earlier in the thread. Since I started reading this forum and since I joined, I found out that Escaflowne and Project A-Ko are considered classics of sorts in the anime medium.

I admit, I never really watched Puffy Ami Yumi or Juniper Lee when I was younger, but they seem to be decent shows. Regarding the Juniper Lee link, it's too bad that Juniper Lee herself didn't lose her shoe, but it's OK. As for Puffy Ami Yumi- my knowledge of them comes from the fact that they sang the theme song to Teen Titans. Typically, serious episodes were sung in English, and silly ones were sung in Japanese.

By the way, what do you all think about this Teen Titans Go show that's going to be replacing Young Justice in April? I'm personally going to watch it since I like the original show and the shorts that play on the DC Nation block.

Good work. I'm watching that Ben 10 short that drawing is referencing now.

The TMNT link is also good. Thank you, boys.

ichigo-mashimaro-chapter-18-pa ge-10.png

I've been off for a little while, I'm going to be posting less since I'm moving later this month. For now, I have a page from the manga that one Ichigo Mashimaro episode is based on; wherein Anna takes off her sneaker and drops it to decide which direction to go.

I also have this project I'm working on to help back up some of the dead links that are accumulating in the earlier parts of the thread, if that's all right with you all.

Thank you. It must have been longer than I thought since I saw the series.

I have another one. The Simpsons "Itchy and Scratchy Land"

Near the end of this episode, when discussing the violence of Itchy and Scratchy, Lisa throws her shoe at Bart and gets sent to her room without her shoe.

That bit always amused me when I was younger.

I've got a couple losses from that old anime Hamtaro; both involve Laura.

One is during a production of Cinderella, and the glass slipper prop goes missing before the play starts, and the Ham-Hams attempt to get it back before the curtain rises.

The other is from an episode entitled "Who Stole My Shoe?", in which a lot of the shoes of the students of the school where Laura goes are disappearing, and the Ham-Hams attempt to find out why.

I would have links, but the series is incredibly hard to find; despite being pretty popular at the time it came out. Of the 296 episodes, only 104 got dubbed into English, and only 9 got released on VHS and DVD. There is an archive project to get the series online (like the ones for Mystery Science Theater 3000 and Max Headroom); but a lot of the work done on it got set back when MegaUpload went under last year. If I find links to the episodes in question, I will post them.

Of course, it's a Cannon Films picture with that Red Riding Hood loss. They had an infamous reputation for cutting corners on the movies they make.

By the way, you mentioned some Danbooru links of possible shoe styles for Pokémon X and Y's female character. Can you forward them? I tried typing them in myself, but the site won't let me use more than two tags at once.

I seem to have found links to the Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends losses that were mentioned earlier in the thread.

Regarding the Power Rangers losses, I think I may want to look for more shoe losses from tokusatsu. Maybe from Super Sentai, which is the source material that Power Rangers gets the fight and Zord footage from.

I also find it weird that there have been no shoe losses in the main Pokémon anime in the 16 years it's been running. There have been some scattered ones in the various manga (a couple I posted in the male loss thread I started); and fan art often involves losses with the characters from the games. Heck, the Great Marsh in Diamond and Pearl would seem like a place where shoe loss would happen a lot (as it is a marsh, there's plenty of waterlogged mud that could suck off a person's shoe). Instead, it often envelops your entire player character (you pop out after a few seconds of wiggling the d-pad on the DS).

One last thing-Mrx, I'm sorry things have been slow lately, but a lot of us have school, work, or both; so this is just for recreation. If I may, this thread is 40 pages long, and you may find something that pleases you. I often go back to the earlier parts of the thread to see all that's there.

These three pages are from Yotsuba&!, which has the same author as the previously-mentioned Azumanga Daioh.

Yotsuba and Koiwai are playing a game on a swing that involves kicking off one of their shoes as far as they can. One commenter on the website where I got these images from even said they expected a truck to drive by as the shoes are about to land.

By the way, it turns out Osaka losing her shoe has become a bit of a mild internet meme, with the video being doctored to have the shoe blow up an aircraft carrier; get crushed by a Thwomp from the Mario games; or get thrown at President Bush (the second one); as well as several other situations.

A couple attachments for you all. One is something from Lucky Star; with Konata, Kagami, and Tsukasa each having one of their sandals off while they sit at a Japanese temple; with their sandal-free feet on the deck.

The other is a cosplay piece from Binbogami Ga!, an anime that's been brought up several times in this thread (because of this, I started watching it for the single shoe thing and found myself getting enrobed in the story and animation; which has happened more than once.). Appropriately enough, the Momiji cosplayer has a bare left foot and a worn-out loafer on her right foot; symbolizing her appearance as a poverty god.

Chalkzone Taffy

Here's the Chalkzone download link. It's not the exact link, but I can tell you that's the file I got. I recommend using VLC to watch it, but QuickTime or Real Player will also probably work.

And those soda commercials were pretty funny in addition to be pretty good losses (I don't speak Portuguese, but the context of the commercials appears to be kicking off one's shoes after school or work to relax with a drink).
