Foot Acting
I found this cute behind the scenes video of the actress rehearsing her shoe loss scenes and hopping around on set with one shoe. Seeing the actress is so adorable trying to make the shoe loss look natural. All this makes me think of what it must be like to direct an actress during a shoe loss scene especially if she’s in one shoe for an extended period. It makes me think of all those shoe loss scenes where the actresses feet stay out of the frame after she loses a shoe. I wonder if this done because in reality the actress is wearing both shoes or has a replacement. Anyway if you could direct an actress in a shoe loss scene who would it be and what shoe would you want them to wear.

Also you have to love how each year you can always expect a Korean drama to have a shoe loss scene. I really wish I knew why it is so prevalent in their culture.

It's too bad it's not as prevalent in US films. There have been so many films with scenes where the female lead could have (should have) lost at least one shoe but never does, or she loses both at the same time, or just jetisons her shoes. See my old thread called Shoe Teasers for what I'm talking about.

Now this is the kind of behind the scenes that's worth the price of the bluray. That girl's adorable too.

Not really a shoe loss per se, but in Netflix's latest Korean drama, "It's Okay to not be Okay" the lead actress takes off her platform sneaker in frustration and throws it at the main male character. Then she walks to get her shoe back in one white sock.
